 Sub-Series
Identifier: I.B.

Scope and Contents

The letter-press copy books kept by Saulsbury and the law firms with which Saulsbury was associated; namely, Saulsbury, Morris & Rodney and Saulsbury, Ponder & Curtis, contain copies of letters sent in reply to clients of the law firms. The letters answer client's questions, advise clients of the status of their cases, or in some cases consist of the firm's correspondence with other attorneys or the court officials. The first eighteen archival packs include copybooks, which were kept exclusively by Saulsbury and contain some personal correspondence. The next ten archival packs consist of volumes from Saulsbury's law firm, Saulsbury, Ponder & Curtis. The final sixteen archival packs contain copybooks for the law firm of Saulsbury, Morris & Rodney. The copybooks for the two law firms include letters from Saulsbury, as well as the other partners in the firm.

One hundred and nineteen bound volumes are housed in archival packs, which are numbered 1-44. Below is a list of the contents of each archival pack, including a range of dates for each volume and an indication of the law firm as indicated on the volume.
