 Item — Box: 27, Folder: 1

Scope and Contents

This is a photograph of Thomas J. Herlihy, Jr., and other members of the Delaware Republican Party, en route to the 1936 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. They are standing in front of a train at the Wilmington, Delaware Amtrak station.

There are two identified people in this photograph. The first is Thomas J. Herlihy, Jr., who is third from the right in the first row of people (wearing glasses). The second is C. Douglas Buck, the governor of Delaware (1929-1937). He is directly to the left of the "Delaware" sign on the train (with mustache).

There is a third person who is believed to be George Clark Hering, Jr. (R), standing two people to the left of Herlihy, holding a hat.
