Pearl Herlihy Daniels Eisenhower Scrapbook, circa 1952-1956
Scope and Contents
This scrapbook was assembled by Pearl Herlihy Daniels, about Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who served as president from 1952-1960. Herlihy was an Eisenhower delegate at the 1952 Republican National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. This scrapbook contains newspapers, newspaper clippings, booklets, pamphlets, and other paper ephemera related to both Dwight D. Eisenhower and Herlihy's time as a delegate.
This scrapbook is divided into two parts: installed and loose. The installed part of the scrapbook is bound between the original covers of the scrapbook. The loose part of the scrapbook comprises of all of the material that was tucked into the back of the scrapbook, but was in no way adhered to the actual binding. The folder titles indicate if the material is installed or loose.
