Simon Nowell Smith letters, 1956-1985

Includes carbon copies of outgoing letters from Stock to Simon Nowell Smith and autograph and typescript letters from Smith to Stock. Also includes correspondence between Stock and Claire Tomalin. The letters in this folder are concerned primarily with Dorothy Vernon White's occasional notebooks that Stock examined in 1950, but have since been lost. Smith is Dorothy's nephew.
