Typescript of The Family Fader , a novel by Irvin Stock. The manuscript, which is bound in heavy cardboard covers, includes autograph corrections. Loosely laid in with the manuscript is a draft typescript letter dated Apr 13, 1946 with the recipient's name crossed out. The letter, written by Stock, provides an analysis of the play in terms of characters, construction and unifying theme. Included with the letter is a loose page 234 with an autograph note that reads: "5/11/85 I don't know where this is from—not 234 of this volume."
