Type Specimen Reference Materials, 1900s
Sub-Series
Identifier: VII.4.
Scope and Contents
Individual folders of specific typefaces (or kinds of typefaces) contain examples and brief notes (e.g. “Cheltenham is today considered a second-rate face, yet it persists beyond the life cycles of most other designs.”). Originally interfiled with series VII.1-VII.3, the material was removed to maintain filing consistency. With the exception of miscellaneous material, all folder headings are Lieberman’s own.
