Scope and Contents
Benjamin Rush (1811-1877) was the first child of Richard and Catherine Murray Rush. This folder contains two letters to J.H. McCalla dated 1863 and 1864, the second of which refers to General Cadwalader. The third letter is undated and from captain Joseph S. Biddle regarding the funeral of Madison Rush (d. 1856). Included as well is an announcement of Benjamin Rush's funeral in 1877.
