MSS 0099. Miscellaneous Literary & Historical Manuscripts

This notebook was kept by twentieth-century American poet and activist John Wieners (1934-2002), who was associated with the Beat movement and the Black Mountain School of poets. Kept primarily between May and June 1962, the volume contains several unpublished poems, prose writings, a clipping, and a collage.

Gustave Percival Wiksell (1863-1940) was a Boston dentist who also served as president of the Walt Whitman Fellowship from 1903 until 1919. The Gustave Percival Wiksell miscellaneous material related to Bliss Carman, F. B. Sanborn, and R. W. Trine contains letters, photographs, and clippings that were originally laid in books that were part of Wiksell's collection.

Welsh dramatist Emlyn Williams wrote these letters to his two friends, actress Katharine Cornell and lyricist Nancy Hamilton.

British author and playwright Sir Angus Wilson (1913-1991) wrote this eight-page letter to Leceister University undergraduate Sandra Kent in response to her letter regarding her dissertation about Wilson's novels.
