Scope and Contents

An autograph letter written and signed by Henry Charles Carey to "Mr. Blanchard," of the publishing firm of Lea and Blanchard, requesting that "a copy of my second & third volumes be forwarded to New York to Jones, and he will take the trouble of delivering it, which I suppose any of the book-sellers to whom you are sending books would do," dated March 18, 1847. Carey's Principles of Political Economy first appeared in three volumes (1837, 1838, 1840).
