Amy Harriet Pepys' diary was a gift from her husband on Christmas 1885. The diary dates between 1886 and 1893 and includes details of interactions with friends and family, weather, and social functions.

The diary is arranged in such a way that each day has entries for several years. For example, February 20 has entries for 1886, 1887, 1888, 1889, and 1890.

Amy details her visits with members of her community, her daily activities such as attending church, her caretaking of members of her family, her health, and the weather.

Biographical Note

Amy Harriet Pepys was the only daughter of Lieutenant Colonel C.W. Thompson and married Walter Courtney Pepys. She died on July 7, 1908.
