Michael Kubsch's letters to Chloe's Books
Scope and Contents
Artist Michael Kubsch, also known as “Malok,” mailed these collages, notes, and illustrations to Chloe’s Books between 1994 and 2007.
Each of the seven letters is accompanied by a business-size envelope, addressed to Chloe’s Books, with rubberstamps on the outside, many of which Kubsch designed. Each envelope contains several items created by Kubsch, including black and white collages, color glyphs, handwritten notes with holograph signatures, and small illustrations. The collages and glyphs are photocopy reproductions of Kubsch’s collages and drawings.
