Scope and Contents

J. Howard Woolmer (1929-2022) was a bookseller, book collector, and author of numerous bibliographies and catalogues on presses and authors. This collection consists of information on the Charleston Farmhouse, a property in England connected with the Bloomsbury Group. The Charleston Farmhouse portion of this collection includes information on the Charleston Farmhouse Charity, events, annual meeting information, newsletters, calendars, the Charleston Trust, and correspondence and notes by, to, and from Woolmer, such as letters and postcards. The second portion of this collection focuses on the Bloomsbury Workshop, a dealer in the art and literature of the Bloomsbury Group. This includes information on the Bloomsbury Workshop, book order forms, book lists, information on the authors focused on by the Workshop, as well as correspondence and notes by, to, and from Woolmer, such as letters and postcards.
