Scope and Contents

The Fort Delaware Society was founded in 1950 to preserve Fort Delaware as a historical site. This collection comprises materials related to the Society and the fort from the Schiek estate. This collection includes meeting minutes, newsletters, and event programs of the Fort Delaware Society; photographs of people and buildings at Fort Delaware, including divers retrieving cannonballs from underwater near the fort; newspaper clippings about Fort Delaware; and maps of Fort Delaware.
