Scope and Contents

The Newark, Delaware, 250th anniversary celebration collection contains materials related to events and publications commemorating the 2008 anniversary of Newark's founding. The collection flyers, newsletters, and other advertising materials, copies of Newark Life Magazine and the Newark Post, recordings of Squonk Opera performing Newark: The Opera, copies of the book Histories of Newark 1758-2008, as well as advertising materials for the book and Kennard Wiggin’s research notes and materials for his chapter in the book, and materials related to "Images from the Delaware Postcard Collection", an exhibition at the University of Delaware Library.
