Taylors Gut manuscripts
Abstract
Dudley Cammett Lunt was born in Maine in 1896. His writing included various books on nature and law as well as a semiweekly personal column for Wilmington's Morning News that reflected his long-time interest in nature, the wilderness, and wildlife conservation. The Taylors Gut Manuscripts consists of .6 linear feet of written and printed material prepared toward the 1968 publication of Dudley Cammett Lunt's Taylors Gut: In the State of Delaware. Taylors Gut details the author's reflections on the natural history and waterfowl of Delaware, with particular focus on Taylors Gut, which began as a little salt creek in the wetlands of the Delaware Bay and later evolved into a pond.
