Roop-Rogers family papers

 Collection
Identifier: MSS 0277

Abstract

The Roop-Rogers family papers consist of letters as well as miscellaneous documents and ephemera. The correspondence was exchanged between family members who were centered in the Seaford-Laurel area of Delaware and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The main recipients are the Bradley sisters, Jane Bradley Rogers and Susannah Bradley Roop. Their correspondents included their children, siblings, cousins, and aunts; and Susannah's husband, Dr. F.A. Roop and her mother-in-law, Marie J. Roop. Most letters in the collection contain family news but there are also some political and religious discussions.
