Typescript draft of The Big Mirror written by Mohammed Mrabet, taped and translated from the Moghrebi by Paul Bowles. Published by Black Sparrow Press in 1976. This draft appears to have been sent to Bowles's British publisher, Peter Owen, to evaluate for a potential British edition.

Spiral-bound notebook containing Bowles's autograph translation of For Bread Alone , by Mohammed Choukri. Bowles's heading "running translation from the Arabic" appears at the top of the initial page. Accompanied by its mailing envelope and a photograph, formerly tipped into the notebook. A letter from Bowles, sent separately, is also present. Accompanying materials are described below.

This typescript was mailed from Pociao's Books, Bonn, Germany, to Bob Sharrad, City Lights in San Francisco. The typescript bears Sharrad's autograph note "Never pub'd by CL/published by Peter Owen in UK" and the envelope bears Sharrad's note "Bowles' agent" in reference to Pociao.
