Brinton family papers
The Brinton family papers document several generations of the Brinton, Steinmetz, and Ward families, who flourished between 1760-1930 in Pennsylvania and New York. Several members of the family played prominent roles in their communities and included landholders, real estate developers, merchants, Civil War surgeons, medical doctors and professors, missionaries, a minister, an art critic, an anthropologist, lawyers, a judge, an engineer, and several authors.
Witter Bynner letter to Helen Bramble
American poet Witter Bynner wrote this letter to Helen Bramble, editor of The Forum, for publication in the periodical. The three-page letter was written in support of Arthur Ficke's lengthy poem, "The Return of Christ," which was published in The Forum in December 1928.

A typed transcript of letters written and journal kept by Reverend Joseph Witherspoon Cook during part of his time as a missionary to Cheyenne, Dakota Territory, 1868-1869. The letters describe his journey from Philadelphia to Cheyenne, the process of setting up a mission in the settlement, the inhabitants of Cheyenne, and the living conditions in the area.

Edith A. Lowther meeting notes for Presbyterian Women’s Home and Foreign Missionary Societies
This notebook from Edith A. Lowther (1874-1948) contains her meeting notes for the Presbyterian Women’s Home and Foreign Missionary Societies circa 1895. Although Lowther lived in Henry Clay, Delaware, most of her notes relate to a meeting held at Manokin Presbyterian Church in Princess Anne, Maryland.
