Carty family papers
The Carty family papers, 1815-1912, represent nearly a century of the business activities as well as the personal lives of various members of the Carty family of New Jersey. The collection also includes papers of the Shreve family, which seems to have been related to the primary family in some way. The material consists mainly of receipts, account ledgers, and personal and business correspondence.

Henry Clay Reed, 1899-1972, was a renound Delaware historian and history professor at the University of Delaware for forty years, researching, teaching, writing, and editing numerous articles and books.
The Henry Clay Reed papers, spanning the dates from 1915-1974, contains legal documents, photographs, microfilm, correspondence, research notes, manuscripts, publications, and ephemera from the historian and University of Delaware professor.
Thomas Scattergood journal
This journal was created by Thomas Scattergood (1748-1814), a Quaker minister, pioneer of mental health reform, and early advocate for the creation of Friends Asylum (later Friends Hospital) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It describes his travels to various Quaker Meetings in New Jersey and New York between 1789 and 1792.
