The papers of Padraic Colum, Irish poet, playwright, and author, are comprised of book reviews, letters to author and theatrical producer Basil Burwell, and original manuscripts of Colum's work.

Between 1972 and 1994, American author and artist Fielding Dawson (1930-2002) sent a variety of materials to his grandmother, Marcella Simpson, including letters, articles, journals, manuscripts, and ephemera. The collection provides insight into Dawson's literary career and his development as a creative wring teacher in correctional facilities.

The Hippolyte Dussauce Papers reflect the life and work of the chemist during the years of 1860-1869. The papers include letters of inquiry from chemists, inventors, druggists and others to Dussauce for formulae and advice. Several copy books kept by Dussauce reflect his responses to some of these inquiries. The correspondence section also contains the letters of Henry Carey Baird, Dussauce's publisher, to Dussauce.
