Analytical Herbarium : Designed for the Use of Students and Private Collectors was published in Farmington, Maine, in 1886 and used to collect botanical samples between May and June 1887.

These three bound diaries were kept by Delaware resident Jeannie Groome Black during her travels in Europe with a group of ten Delawareans from October 13, 1890, to November 25, 1891.

The William Augustus Brewer bookplate collection comprises 12,870 printed bookplates dating primarily from the eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth centuries, many of which were from the libraries of famous individuals or produced by significant artists. The collection also contains additional material relating to Brewer's collection, including Mrs. Augusta LaMotte Brewer's address book and printing plates and blocks, as well as reference material relating to bookplates.

This collection consists of two albums of specimens of dried and pressed plants and wild flowers made by early nineteenth-century London Grove, Pennsylvania, botanist John Jackson between 1810 and 1819. One of the albums was given to Dr. Francis Alison (1751-1813), son of the Presbyterian minister and educator Rev. Dr. Francis Alison (1705-1779).

These two travel journals belonging to Emily Sowden contain descriptions of trips to France, the Southeast United States, and Latin America in the 1930s. The entries feature itineraries with commentary and are supplemented by numerous postcards, photographs, small maps, and plant specimens.

This journal of New Jersey resident Sarah Marks Stockton chronicles her travels in Italy and stay in Rome as a member of high society from 1858 to 1860. Stockton’s journal contains extremely detailed autograph entries describing her stay in Italy with her children while her husband John P. Stockton served as the American minister to the Papal States.

This journal was kept by Thomas Ward, Jr., and chronicles his sightseeing trip to England, Ireland, Scotland, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy in 1860. Entries provide a record of the voyage and a summary of each day of sightseeing.

The Miriam E. Welliver travel journal documents this Pennsylvania school teacher's month-long, 5,100 mile automobile trip across 19 states and Canada via handwritten journal entries, black-and-white photographs, postcards, telegrams, plant specimens, pamphlets, and other miscellaneous materials.
