Abstract

Two autograph letters written and signed by John Chapman to an unknown person, regarding book orders from his firm, dated May 13, 1852, and May 21, 1852. The May 21 letter is tipped to the front of "A List of Mr. Chapman's Publications [July 1852]." A second pamphlet, a reprint of a letter by Chapman to "The Athenaeum" entitled The Bookselling System is also enclosed.
