British art critic and writer Clive Bell (1881-1964) wrote several letters to American theater and pop-culture critic and writer Gilbert Vivian Seldes (1893-1970) between 1921 to 1957, detailing personal matters, mutual friends, travels, and professional events. Also included are autographed notes, written by Seldes and dated 1966, about a meeting between Bell and Seldes and his impressions of Bell.

The papers of American photojournalist, restaurateur, and peace activist Karl Bissinger (1914-2008) encompass nearly seventy years of professional activity. This collection not only provides abundant documentation of Bissinger's careers in photography and social activism, but also offers rich visual resources for the history of photography in post-World War II America.

The William Dean notebooks are a collection of twelve small autograph booklets of notes, summaries, and transcriptions from numerous books and catalogues pertaining to watercolor painting or heraldry. Created during the 1870s or 1880s, the booklets are Dean's working notes on these two topics.

The Catherine W. Kallal papers pertain to the publication of Delaware Government by the League of Women Voters of Delaware, Kallal’s years as president of the LWV of Delaware and the LWV of Greater Wilmington, as well as information on environmental issues in Delaware from 1968 to 2005.

The sixty-five letters in the David T. Marvel Family Correspondence span the dates 1876–1905. In addition to letters from David Marvel to his wife Mary and his daughter Ann, the collection includes letters from Mrs. Rhoda B. Rondebush to Mrs. Marvel, several letters from different individuals to Judge E. Wootten (Marvel’s father-in-law), and a letter from Thomas F. Bayard to David Marvel.

The Elva de Pue Matthews Papers consist of two linear feet of correspondence, drafts of novels written by Matthews, poetry and essays by Matthews or others, clippings, and notes. The collection spans the dates 1917-1962, with the bulk of the collection dating between 1917 and 1949.

The Bernard McKenna Richard Blanco papers comprises .3 linear feet of typescripts, printed emails, programs, notes, and photographs pertaining to the literary output of Cuban-American poet Richard Blanco (born 1968). The collection was compiled by University of Delaware English professor Bernard McKenna in the course of his longtime friendship with Blanco.

The Frank E. and Anna Hayes Owens family papers comprises 14.3 linear feet of materials, spanning the dates between 1900 and 2011, and includes correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, travel brochures, reel-to-reel tapes, magazines, fanzines, and other materials documenting intergenerational American family life in Delaware.

The Warner Perry papers include personal records related to Perry’s life and many hobbies. The major subjects of the collection are Perry’s magic documents, his personal papers, financial information, written works, invention designs, and family photographs.

This volume contains the constitution, bylaws, amendments, membership roster, and presidential oath for the Pestalozzi Literary Society of Delaware College (later the University of Delaware), an early student group for women at the previously all-male institution.

The Brian Phelan papers document forty years of the literary career of Irish-born playwright and screenwriter Brian Phelan (born 1934). Phelan's adaptations and docudramas focus on Irish characters, the issues of Irish emigration, socialist and feminist themes, and major world events. The collection, which spans from the 1960s to the 2000s, comprises Phelan's working and project files and include correspondence, screenplays, scripts, contracts, photographs, and research.

American Beat scholar Jennie Skerl (born 1944) met American author and composer Paul Bowles (1910-1999) on a visit to Tangier, Morocco, in 1985. This small collection comprises correspondence with Bowles and others, as well as Skerl's research materials related to Paul Bowles and his literary circle in Tangier.

The Richard H. Stewart collection of Abraham Lincoln material comprises artifacts, prints, postcards, stamps, coins, clippings, publications, notes and research, and an 1861 appointment signed by Lincoln. The collection documents the nation’s mourning of Lincoln through contemporary and commemorative ephemera, artifacts, and prints and reflects the collecting and research pursuits of native Delawarean, University of Delaware alumnus, and DuPont executive Richard H. Stewart (1936-2013).
