This collection contains the administrative and organizational records for the incorporated educational group, the Archaeological Society of Delaware. The materials span the length of the organization's existence from 1933 to the present.

Amiri Baraka (1934-2014), known early in his career as LeRoi Jones, was a widely published African American writer who produced poetry, drama, fiction, essays, and music criticism. Much of Baraka’s work addressed the subjects of Black liberation and white racism. The Amiri Baraka papers comprise the author’s writings, sketchbooks, and artwork, as well as correspondence and ephemera related to his involvement in theatrical and film productions.

The David T. Bazelon papers, spanning the dates 1935-1996, includes manuscripts, correspondence, books, clippings, and photographs documenting the work of the social critic and member of the post-war "New York Intellectuals," David T. Bazelon.

Fleda Brown (born 1944) is an American poet, scholar, and educator, and was poet laureate for the state of Delaware from 2001-2007. The Fleda Brown papers, spanning circa 1950-2014 (bulk 1963-2014), comprise early works, poem drafts and notes, journals, correspondence, and materials related to Brown’s professional life as a poet and professor of English at the University of Delaware.

The Edward Field papers consist of twenty-one linear feet of the personal and literary papers which document the life and writing career of American writer and poet Edward Field (b. 1924) from 1943–1994.

An autobiography, fifteen poems, one short story, two resumes, a lecture, and several compilations of reviews of his work comprise this collection of manuscripts written by or related to American poet Norman Macleod (1906–1985).

The David M. Nelson papers document the military, athletic, coaching, and administrative careers of twentieth century American football rules authority and former University of Delaware coach and administrator, David Moir Nelson.

This collection of American writer Charles Plymell's manuscripts contains manuscripts for poems, fiction, and essays written by Plymell during the 1970s, as well as a small number of manuscripts of the work of other poets.

Autograph and typescript drafts, galleys, and correspondence related to the publication of three of American poet Janine Pommy-Vega’s books: Morning Passage (1976), Journal of a Hermit (both the original 1974 edition, and the reprinting with new material published as Journal of a Hermit & in 1979), and The Bard Owl (1980).

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, artist, illustrator, and author Katharine Pyle (1863-1938), achieved recognition through her short stories, poems, and plays for children. The Katharine Pyle papers, spanning approximately 1904–1929, consists of material related to her artistic, business, and personal affairs.

Six volumes of Welsh writer Berta Ruck's travel journals, including correspondence, photographs, and ephemera. Ruck records partial drafts of her works in progress, accounts of her financial and romantic difficulties, and memorabilia from her travels. She also details the growing anti-Semitism and the gradual rise of Nazi support in Austria.

The Press of A. Colish archives contains materials relating to the printing career of American fine printer and publisher Abraham Colish (1882–1963).

The Frank W. Tober collection on literary forgery comprises letters, books, pamphlets, journals and journal articles, newspaper clippings, auction and exhibition catalogs, and other ephemera related to literary forgery. While Tober collected specimens of a variety of manuscript and printed forgeries, he was most interested in the literary forgeries of Thomas J. Wise and H. Buxton Forman.
