Jones, Sr.'s service in the Civilian Conservation Corps and later as a solider in the United States Army Coast Artillery stationed in Hawaii during and after the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Abstract

Emily C. Stump, an executive secretary at Hercules Powder Company, compiled for the company briefing notebooks of newspaper clippings which tracked military progress of Allied and Axis powers throughout World War II. She also collected transcripts of daily radio news broadcasts from stations WOR and WDEL. The World War II maps and radio broadcasts collection includes maps, newspaper clippings, radio broadcasts and militray manuals, documenting war operations in World War II.
