Collection of publications representing issues from the political right in the United States during the 1950s.

The papers of American photojournalist, restaurateur, and peace activist Karl Bissinger (1914-2008) encompass nearly seventy years of professional activity. This collection not only provides abundant documentation of Bissinger's careers in photography and social activism, but also offers rich visual resources for the history of photography in post-World War II America.

The papers of centenarian, World War I veteran, and retired wall covering entrepreneur Frederic Blank, spanning close to 150 years, illustrate the varied life of a twentieth-century businessman and provide important sample books of iconic mid-twentieth-century American wall coverings.

Family papers relating to the poet and children’s author Elizabeth Coatsworth, including letters to Coatsworth from the English poet and novelist L.A.G. Strong and from the American author Josephine Pinckney, as well as letters to Coatsworth’s husband, the writer Henry Beston.

The Delaware Council for International Visitors Records, 1972-2001, document the activity of a regional hospitality organization through correspondence, board minutes, calendars, bylaws, visitor profiles, pamphlets, and other printed material relating to the organization.

This collection of pamphlets on Israel, Jewish theology, and the Jewish experience in the twentieth century was compiled by Rabbi Herbert E. Drooz, leader of the Congregation Beth Emeth of Wilmington, Delaware, from 1947 to 1982.

Two linear feet of correspondence, clippings, official records, photographs, publications, ephemera, and other materials primarily related to Junior President Frazer Jones’s work in the Robert Kirkwood Society of the Children of the American Revolution.

The Catherine W. Kallal papers pertain to the publication of Delaware Government by the League of Women Voters of Delaware, Kallal’s years as president of the LWV of Delaware and the LWV of Greater Wilmington, as well as information on environmental issues in Delaware from 1968 to 2005.

The William A. Kruse collection related to historic Delaware homes and churches contains lithograph prints, tear sheets, clippings, and ephemera chronicling prominent Delaware landmarks.

The Howard McCord Papers include 2.7 linear feet of letters, poems, brochures, essays, clippings, journals, pamphlets, and transcripts, which span the dates 1930 to 1972 (bulk dates 1964–1970). The majority of the collection was generated by the collaboration between McCord and poet and social critic Walter Lowenfels in co-authoring The Life of Fraenkel’s Death.

The David M. Nelson papers document the military, athletic, coaching, and administrative careers of twentieth century American football rules authority and former University of Delaware coach and administrator, David Moir Nelson.

The Frederick G. Nixon-Nirdlinger Scrapbook chronicles the 1909 cruise taken by Philadelphia resident and theatrical manager Nixon-Nirdlinger and his wife from New York City to France, Spain, Morocco, Italy, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, and Hungary. The scrapbook records various aspects of the early twentieth-century travel business and is particularly rich with theatrical ephemera, indicating Nixon- Nirdlinger’s trip combined theatrical business interests with pleasure.

Peter Owen publishing records is the publisher’s archive (1950s-1995) of an independent British firm renowned for its international list of major authors and avant garde works. The bulk of the collection consists of the production files of selected works, primarily from the 1980s and 1990s, including edited typescripts, proofs, and other materials documenting the process of turning an author’s manuscript into a finished book.

Frank W. Tober, a chemist with the Du Pont Company, maintained a wide range of book collecting interests including the era of Napoleon and the French Revolution. This collection comprises song sheets and pamphlets relating to the political situation in France during the late 1780s and 1790s.

The Frank W. Tober collection on literary forgery comprises letters, books, pamphlets, journals and journal articles, newspaper clippings, auction and exhibition catalogs, and other ephemera related to literary forgery. While Tober collected specimens of a variety of manuscript and printed forgeries, he was most interested in the literary forgeries of Thomas J. Wise and H. Buxton Forman.

Talcott Williams (1849-1928) was an American journalist and educator. The Talcott Williams collection consists of letters, pamphlets and clippings.

The Robert A. Wilson - Marianne Moore collection comprises 1 linear foot of material spanning the dates between 1925 and 1997 and includes correspondence to and from American poet Marianne Moore, the majority of which was written to Phoenix Book Shop proprietor Robert A. Wilson; works by and about Moore; newspaper clippings, photographs, pamphlets, broadsheets, and invitations documenting aspects of Moore’s career and public appearances; audio recordings; and realia.

The Woman Suffrage collection comprises ephemera, pamphlets, books, and realia that relate to the campaign for a woman's voting rights.
