Scope and Contents

This volume contains campaign flyers, brochures, newsletters and other ephemera related to political campaigns, events and politicians in Delaware from 1968 to 1996. These items are primarily related to Republican politics and politicians.

Material in this volume includes franked envelopes from Senator Caleb Boggs and John J. Williams (correspondence sent to Janet Cordrey, an employee of the New Castle County Health Unit, correspondence not present); a December 1970 Christmas card from Governor Russell Peterson; a 1972 “votegram” from Pete du Pont; the 1972 Greater Newark Republican Club election year dinner program; 1975 poll results related to Senator William Roth; a letter to Robert Voshell in his role as a member of the Milford Memorial Hospital Board of Directors from Senator William Roth (November 28, 1978); a 1994 guidebook for senior citizens published by Senator William Roth; a 1996 voter’s guide for Sussex County; and a 1992 mailer soliciting membership for a new independent political party called “A Delaware Party.”
