Scope and Contents

Dr. Paul M. Hodgson worked as an Associate Professor of Agricultural Education at the University of Delaware from 1947-1959. He served as Delaware Assistant State Superintendent for Instructional Services in 1968, and then as Special Assistant to the Superintendent of Public Instruction until his retirement in 1972. Throughout his career, he advocated for vocational-technical high schools throughout the state of Delaware. Paul M. Hodgson Vocational-Technical High School is named in his honor. This collection consists of information on vocational-technical high schools throughout Delaware, correspondence, booklets and pamphlets, academic journals on education, personal paper ephemera such as holiday cards and RSVPs, school handbooks, school newsletters, reports, studies, educational directories, and a Memory Book from 1972 celebrating Hodgson's retirement.
