The Jeffrey Bailey collection of James Leo Herlihy papers is a combination of correspondence and personal papers originated by American author and actor James Leo Herlihy and literary papers belonging to Herlihy’s long-time friend and literary executor, American author Jeffrey Bailey.

The Paul Bowles collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, editorial matter, periodicals, ephemera, and miscellaneous material acquired from a variety of sources. The collection is added to periodically and complements the Paul Bowles papers (MSS 0163) as well as several other manuscript collections related to Paul Bowles at the University of Delaware Library.

The Paul Bowles correspondence with John Widdicombe comprises 49 letters and postcards reflecting the long-lasting friendship Bowles maintained with Widdicombe, whom Bowles met during his brief time as a student in Virginia. While on his travels, Bowles posted letters from various locations abroad, which ranged in content from news about musical and literary acquaintances, such as Aaron Copland or Gertrude Stein, to sketches of local nationals and their culture.

In these twenty letters to Nathalie Blondel, written between 1987 and 1990, American author Paul Bowles provided recommendations for editorial and publication decisions concerning three of Jane Bowles’s unpublished short stories.

Moroccan author and artist Mohammed Mrabet (born 1940) worked closely with American expatriate writer and musician Paul Bowles (1910-1999). This collection contains letters from several of Mrabet's friends and acquaintances, most notably from American writers and editors Irving Stettner (1922-2004) and Michael Wolfe (born 1945). Also included are reviews of Mrabet's works and photocopied dust jackets from his books.

Cherie Nutting is a photographer and musical artist manager known, among other activities, for her photographs of expatriate author and composer Paul Bowles. This collection comprises Nutting’s photographs of Paul Bowles in various settings as well as photos of his residence and several objects of significance to him. The photographs include Nutting’s handwritten captions and contextual inscriptions.

American Beat scholar Jennie Skerl (born 1944) met American author and composer Paul Bowles (1910-1999) on a visit to Tangier, Morocco, in 1985. This small collection comprises correspondence with Bowles and others, as well as Skerl's research materials related to Paul Bowles and his literary circle in Tangier.
