Minutes (administrative records)

The American Association of University Women Delaware Division records reflect the history, structure, public policies, and programs of this group, and its relationship to the state branches and national organization of AAUW. AAUW's mission is to advance equity for women and girls through education, advocacy, research, and philanthropy.

This collection contains the administrative and organizational records for the incorporated educational group, the Archaeological Society of Delaware. The materials span the length of the organization's existence from 1933 to the present.

The George Handy Bates Samoan papers are made up of correspondence, documents, memoranda, clippings, photographs, and other material relating to George Handy Bates's tenure as a special investigator into Samoan affairs beginning in 1886, and as a commissioner to the 1889 Berlin Conference on Samoan Affairs.

The records of the Delaware Association of Family and Consumer Sciences include correspondence, minutes of meetings, reports, financial files, newsletters and other material which document the functions and activities of this statewide professional organization.

The Delaware Theatre Company (DTC) is the largest professional theater in Delaware. The organizations's records, as well as the professional papers of Artistic Director, Cleveland Morris, are included.

The Delaware Theatre Company (DTC) was founded in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1978 with a mission to create theater of the highest professional quality in Delaware and thereby enrich the area through artistic programming, education and community service. The DTC records 2019 supplement comprises the organization’s administrative and financial records, production files, press, and reviews from 1978-2015.

The Delaware Women's Conference records, which document the only all-volunteer women's conference in the United States, provide a record of an organization which sought to empower women of all ages, economic backgrounds, and lifestyles, to engage and to improve the status of all women.

This collection consists of one volume containing abstracts of minutes of town council meetings held in Newark, Delaware, between 1866 and 1900 (bulk dates 1888-1900). This digest was prepared in 1959-1960 by William Ditto Lewis, who served as University Librarian at Delaware from 1930-1958.

The records of the Eastern State Archeological Federation (ESAF), spanning over seventy years beginning in 1933, contains correspondence, minutes, programs, audiocassette recordings, publications, financial records, and other items that document the work of the organization, which was created in 1933 as an umbrella organization to promote the field of archaeology through member societies in Eastern North America.

The Mary Jane Elliot papers relate to her volunteer work in the area of Wilmington, Delaware, between 1979 and 1992.

The first portion of this volume contains the meeting minutes of the National Eclectic Assurance Society of the United States, Finance Committee, from 1868-1873, while the latter portion contains notes kept by medical student John C. McCoy.

The records of the Friends of the Newark Free Library in Newark, Delaware, include correspondence, newsletters, financial records, and other material documenting the organization and activities of the group.

Records from the Friendship Fire Company of Wilmington, Delaware, the first volunteer fire department in the city’s history, including the fire company's constitution, act of incorporation, rules and regulations, and official minutes from 1784 to 1828.

The Granite Mansion Fund, Inc., papers include materials relating to the formation of the organization and its fundraising efforts to save the historic Granite Mansion structure from demolition in 1986.

Two linear feet of correspondence, clippings, official records, photographs, publications, ephemera, and other materials primarily related to Junior President Frazer Jones’s work in the Robert Kirkwood Society of the Children of the American Revolution.

The Catherine W. Kallal papers pertain to the publication of Delaware Government by the League of Women Voters of Delaware, Kallal’s years as president of the LWV of Delaware and the LWV of Greater Wilmington, as well as information on environmental issues in Delaware from 1968 to 2005.

This notebook from Edith A. Lowther (1874-1948) contains her meeting notes for the Presbyterian Women’s Home and Foreign Missionary Societies circa 1895. Although Lowther lived in Henry Clay, Delaware, most of her notes relate to a meeting held at Manokin Presbyterian Church in Princess Anne, Maryland.
