This collection of American and English poetry readings fliers, posters, and cards comprises promotional ephemera documenting live poetry events in America and England. The collection contains posters, fliers, postcards, calendars, newsletters, programs and other printed and hand-drawn ephemera documenting the activities of poets, live performance venues, and literary networks largely associated with the California and New York experimental poetry scenes.

British attorney and author Sir Joseph Gold (1912-2000) was a collector of modern first editions of British and American writers and poets. The Sir Joseph Gold literary manuscript collection comprises correspondence, manuscripts, publishing files, and publications of mid-twentieth century British and American poets, publishers, and scholars.

Jerome Rothenberg's ethnopoetics reading list consists of one six-page mimeographed typescript of an extensive reading list of books, Bureau of American Ethnology reports, and articles and periodicals, which was prepared by Rothenberg, presumably for one of his classes.

The Sam Shepard collection is a group of seven incidental items spanning the dates 1968-1979, related to the dramatic work of this American playwright, which includes three playscripts, two programs, a contract, and a poster.
