This collection of American and English poetry readings fliers, posters, and cards comprises promotional ephemera documenting live poetry events in America and England. The collection contains posters, fliers, postcards, calendars, newsletters, programs and other printed and hand-drawn ephemera documenting the activities of poets, live performance venues, and literary networks largely associated with the California and New York experimental poetry scenes.

Other materials include press catalogs, newsletters, financial records, clippings, periodicals, poems, and other printed ephemera related to the Unicorn Press.

Martha L. Carothers is a book artist and Professor Emerita of Art and Design at the University of Delaware who specializes in graphic design and book arts (typography, book design, bookbinding, and letterpress printing). This collection comprises paper sample catalogs and art and design publications collected by Carothers in support of her teaching and artistic activities.

The attorney and author Joseph Gold was born in London, England, on July 12, 1912; he died on February 22, 2000, in Bethesda, Maryland. The Sir Joseph Gold political and miscellaneous ephemera collection comprises .67 linear feet of newsletters, pamphlets, posters, blank letterhead, and typed pages from the 1960s through the 1990s.

The Harrison Street Methodist Church was incorporated in Wilimington, Delaware in 1891, closing in 1978. The papers comprise published Church newsletters (1950-1952), and weekly programs (1941-1954), but also includes church directories, correspondence, annual reports, budgets, programs for various Church services, and lists of church members, officials, and Sunday school students.

The Everett C. & Louise Stanton Johnson papers concern the personal affairs of prominent Delaware publisher and politician Everett C. Johnson (1877-1926) and his wife Louise Staton Johnson (1882-1977). In addition, the collection contains material from their Newark publishing house, the Press of Kells, which brought the Arts and Crafts Movement to the community from 1916 to 1918.

The Catherine W. Kallal papers pertain to the publication of Delaware Government by the League of Women Voters of Delaware, Kallal’s years as president of the LWV of Delaware and the LWV of Greater Wilmington, as well as information on environmental issues in Delaware from 1968 to 2005.
