Howard Sommers Conant, a painter and educator, was born in Beloit, Wisconsin in 1921. The Conant Poster Collection includes 125 posters issued between 1958 and 1990 with the bulk of the collection dating from 1975 to 1985. The majority of the posters are promotions for artists' exhibitions in Arizona and New York.

In 1924, Republican presidential candidate Calvin Coolidge organized The Lincoln Tour, a 56-day, cross-country road rally of 100,000 automobiles that was designed to be a continuous political parade along the Lincoln Highway, the first transcontinental road for automobiles in the country. This is a photograph of a truck from the Calvin Coolidge and Charles Dawes campaign's Lincoln Tour.

This nineteenth-century copybook and scrapbook was kept by student (and later teacher) Georgina Maria Cooper of Hollandsville, Delaware. It contains pages of copied phrases completed when Cooper was in school, poetry clippings, copied lists of deaths and marriages in Kent County, Delaware, and a list of her students in 1871.
