Abstract An autograph letter written and signed by William Cobbett to "Gentlemen," reading in part, "The delay of the printer in coming to me has been so long, that I have been compelled to send off my manuscript to London. I am getting on with another copy. However, I really am afraid, that it would be productive of great inconvenience to your printer; for I must have proofs and revises." In closing, Cobbett writes of Henry Charles Carey, "I hope, that Mr. Carey's health is perfectly restored....
